Roadmap
Hi everyone !
While I'm thrilled to have finally released a first beta version of Ephemora, there is still a lot (a looooot) of things I plan on doing, changing, updating, etc...
So here is a first roadmap for things to come. Please note that they might not be done and published in the order given below, as my brain is usually a organized and efficient as a Moth's fly path....
Anyway, here are the things planned for now :
Interactive character sheet:
I plan to release a fully automated interactive character sheet, in a pdf format. This should allow for a trully seamles experience, so that you can focus on your game and session, and ease your time, especially if playing virtually.
Complete overhaul on the classes:
After a few tests, I've realized that the class sytem in place at the moment is not interesting enough, and while classes all have their own flavors in terms of lore and roleplay, they don't show any difference or uniqueness in terms of gameplay. The plan is to start from scratch on all of them, and make sure they all have their own playstyle, with their own unique mechanics.
Refining the magic:
At the moment, Ephemora uses a completely freeform magic system. While it lets a lot of place to creativity and imagination, it can also feel a bit too detached from the world I want to create. The plan is to have a new magic system in place, that will be a middleground between a freeform system and a more classic spellbook type of magic system, something more defined, in lign with the whole class overhaul work planned, but with enough flexibility and room for creativity when used.
Worldmap:
For now, the world of Ephemora is described in a lot of details, but its regions and landmarks are still not properly defined. I plan to work on that, and give you properly detailed region, with lots of points of interest, stories, and mysteries to discover.
Fauna and Flora:
I want to have a much more exhaustive fauna and flora, in line with the work I will do on developping detailed regions for the world.
Hand Painted art:
I plan on removing any AI-generated placeholder asset, and replace them with only hand-painted pieces.
I'll try re release some new versions of the complete guide regularly, once I have enough new material. Otherwise, I'll try to keep you updated regularly with new content coming up.
